A great opener and a great drum riff. Played by Markus Giltjes with some support by Faith No More.

We really loved to play this song live – great stuff.

Unheeded

“Unheeded” was the opener for our live shows. We had a 10 minutes soundscape intro and then Christoph started with some 5 minutes more feedback. Originally inspired by German band Rausch.

Every Reason

While some songs on “Explain!” are more indie and wave stuff, “Every Reason” is a really nice pop song. The guitar sound is very much inspired by Edges 90ties sounds.

Berlin

Fantastic sound! We had a lot of problems mixing this song because the bass sounds were so deep and we always had distortion on the master. “Berlin” was inspired by Nine Inch Nails. Respect to Trent Raznor.

Let me die

Uuuh – something dark with a little help from our friends form the Invisible Limits. Marion sang the female part and Jürgen played the spanish guitar. True dark wave stuff.

Call

Everybody hated the guitar, but Christoph really loved it. The drum samples were stolen from some obscure U2 remixes and nobody knows where U2 have stolen them first.

Sheherazade

Markus played great drums on this track. The song was inspired by all this Happy Mondays, Carter USM etc. stuff.

The Moon

Our manifesto. Some of the best moments we had were playing this song live. We normally played 15 to 20 minutes versions and at the end there always was a great chaos and sometimes Christoph destroyed his guitar. Great.

Sweet Dreams

Everybody loved this song and everybody loved Annie Lennox.
